Introduction: The Muslim Ski Club is dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for Muslim ski enthusiasts. Our membership policy is designed to ensure a positive experience for all members while upholding the values and goals of our community.
Membership Eligibility:
- Age Requirement: Membership is open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older.
- Interest: Individuals must have an interest in skiing and be supportive of the club’s mission, vision, and purpose.
- Conduct: Members must align with Islamic values and adhere to the Community Guidelines, and Website Terms of Use.
Membership Categories:
- Entry Membership - Free Tier: Entry Membership is suitable for those who want to start skiing but don't want to commit to paying any membership fees. It allows individuals to test the platform first to see the offering. Membership provides access to some club events, resources, and online community platforms.
- Full Membership - Paid Tier: Full Membership offers enhanced benefits and access to premium features.
Membership Application:
- Application Process: Interested individuals must create an account on the website and complete the online application form and provide necessary documentation (e.g., proof of age, student ID for student membership) if necessary.
- Review: Applications will be reviewed internally on a monthly basis, and applicants will be notified of their membership status within 14 days of approval.
- Community: By applying for membership, you are agreeing to share and allow use of personal details for account activity in line with the privacy policy.
Membership Fees:
- Entry Membership - Free Tier: £0 per year (note there may be a small admin fee)
- Full Membership - Paid Tier: £60 per year
- Payment: Membership fees are due annually and can be paid online via the club’s website or by an alternative agreement.
- Pro-Rata: Membership fees are calculated on a quarterly pro-rata basis. Annual membership begins on the 1st of December. Membership is calculated as follows:
- 12 months = £60
- 9 months = £40
- 6 months = £25
- 3 months = £10

Renewal and Termination:
- Renewal: Membership must be renewed annually. Members will receive a renewal notice 30 days before the expiration of their current membership.
- Termination: Members may terminate their membership at any time by notifying the membership committee. No refunds will be provided for early termination.
- Suspension/Expulsion: The club reserves the right to suspend or expel members who violate the Membership Policy, Community Guidelines, or Website Terms of Use.
Code of Conduct:
- Members must always adhere to the Community Guidelines, ensuring respectful and courteous interaction with fellow members.
- Members must comply with the Website Terms of Use when using the club’s online resources.
- Any form of harassment, discrimination, or abusive language will not be tolerated and may result in suspension or termination of membership.

Skiing Disclaimer:
Participating in skiing activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, collisions, and injuries. As a member or participant of the Muslim Ski Club, it is essential to understand and acknowledge these risks before engaging in any skiing-related activities.
By choosing to participate in skiing activities organized or facilitated by the Muslim Ski Club, you accept and assume all risks associated with skiing, including those arising from the actions or negligence of others, equipment failure, or unpredictable weather conditions.
The Muslim Ski Club, its organisers, volunteers, partners, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any injuries, damages, losses, or accidents that may occur during skiing activities. This includes but is not limited to bodily injuries, property damage, or any other harm sustained while skiing, whether on or off-piste, during lessons, trips, or events organized by the club.
Participants are responsible for their own safety and well-being while skiing and are encouraged to follow all safety guidelines, instructions, and recommendations provided by the club, ski instructors, and resort staff.
It is strongly recommended to obtain appropriate travel insurance covering skiing-related activities to mitigate any potential financial or medical risks associated with skiing accidents or emergencies.
By participating in skiing activities organised by the Muslim Ski Club, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this disclaimer, and you voluntarily assume all risks associated with skiing.
Privacy and Data Protection:
- Members’ personal information will be handled in accordance with the club’s Privacy Policy.
- Members are responsible for protecting their own account information and reporting any breaches to the admin.
Amendments:
- The Muslim Ski Club reserves the right to amend this membership policy at any time. Members will be notified of any changes via email and updates will be published on the club’s website.
